External Portfolio
IRSAM’s external portfolio embodies the club’s mandate by providing services and activities reaching out to the world around us. External initiatives are action-based projects that aim to connect students with opportunities for sustainable community improvement, both locally and abroad. Through external projects, IRSAM members have worked with communities in Montreal, New York, Kenya, Chile, Rwanda and we aim to expand the scope of our partnerships through the efforts of our coordinators or members. In 2006, IRSAM was newly accredited as a non-governmental organization with special consultative status to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. Over the course of the academic year, new IRSAM members will begin to understand and appreciate the benefits and rewards of being recognized by the world organ for multilateral co-operation.
